A High lift jack in trained / capable hands is way down the handiest tool to have on your truck. Hands down.. As long as i have one of those in my truck i can get out of most situations and help other people out. I can train you in the proper / safe ways to use it where no one will get hurt.
I do like my HiLift and looking forward to the class if there is one. But for me the wench, or wenches, are more useful and entertaining.

I too have a non functioning parking brake, no CB, no fire extinguisher, winch, etc..... All of which I will try and address before September and be part of the run. Sounds like fun.
Since mine is so new to me and the paint and body is fairly clean I'll be sticking to easy stuff day 1, maybe grab a back seat in someone's more 'capable' or at least more 'beatable' ride for day two so I can get the feel for what it's like...

On day 2 we'll try keeping you away from those that get all crazy behind the wheel.
