Got to share this with you guys. I've had a bad friggin day.

The sherrif showed up at my house at 6:30 this morn.. 2 of em... of course I was disoriented and didn't answer the door until I witnessed the tow truck pulling up to my FJ62 with bad intentions.

It appears I owed 1500 bucks from a credit card from 8 years ago and their take as deemed by the court was my baby... my 89 FJ62 which I just recently bought and had shipped up from Georgia...

talk about distress..

They towed my bad boy away so I went to my sock drawer and grabbed the 1500 bucks I had set away for any mods and within several hours had my rig back.

All in all it cost me 2 grand cash.

A lesson learned. These credit card bastards don't go away. Good thing it was only a replacable commodity (my cash) and I got my cruiser back which to me is irreplaceable.

Rough day.. and a close call...

I need another drink.

you keep 1500 dollars in your sock drawer? I keep socks in mine.

Not anymore, huh?

Yeah, pay da bills, you'll sleep better.

My friend had two FBI agents at his door yesterday. They were looking for previous occupants--three guys of Arab descent. Luckily he doesn't look at all Arab.

must be different laws up there, here in Texas if someone is taking anything from your property, you have the right to shoot first, then ask questions!

No offense, but did you think the credit card debt would just disappear? I mean, was this some type of sneak attack? They know where you lived, so I assume they tried to contact you?

Just having a hard time understanding the mentality.

I like Texas.

Was there for a week in Dallas just recently. Like that philosophy big time.

I have a problem with credit card folks harassment techiques. I chose to ignore them.

I paid cash. It's done. Got the cruiser still and life goes on. No biggie to me.

Just a warning to others to fill their sock drawers with more than just socks for emergencies.

....and don't tell the wife it's there.

i got undies in there too! is that what you mean by emergencies?

"I chose to ignore them"
