Cold weather leaves me wishing I would just replace those struts, I'm in, thanks for the give-away.
And someone please respond to all these relevant questions about tire size and LX issues. :)

I need a pair of these please because when it is cold and the hatch hits me in the head it is funny but when it hits my wife's head, that is a different story.

Do I really need the struts HMMMMMMM?

I mean since supports went soft one winter, dropping the hatch on my fingers I just pulled them off. Since my finger, now, no longer work well, I found opening the hatch latch just a bit inconvenient. So I removed the hatch latch as well. The exhaust fumes form hatch became a bit of an issue at stops, but found a workaround. Keep the widows open, how smart am I. I'm finding air flow has really improved as hatch fly's opens travel down the road. The hood supports (weak) have had to go too, naturally I had to remove hood latch as well, not my best move. You see, that is I don't see, as the hood is now stuck to the windshield. But makes a very good gavel shield for windshield.

I found a solution thanks to my friends in mud for missing supports. I keeping the windows open with my sticking head out DS window, this solved all issues. Which has had the added benefit of improving my MPG (Mouth Puckering Grin) during winter months.

Darn, what us old guy's do to save a buck

Would love these. Will probably purchase even if I don't win. Getting tired of the hatch hitting me on the head in the cold. May need to line the inside of the hatch with foam to act as a bumper.

My daughter uses the hatch to go in and out of the car when I have all 5 kids and the wife going on trips. Hatch struts started to fail last month!

Do I have to take the thing hanging off the frame rail on the passenger side off before I can change the struts?

How many bananas are each job?

I mean I hung a tree air freshener from the mirror stuck to my windshield and that only took 1.5 hours and 2 trips to Harbor Freight.

I would finally be able to put my sand wedge back in my golf bag.....of course then I would have to buy a trail shovel, too. :bored:

My Hatch closes faster than my toilet seat. I tried swapping the struts and the toilet seat closed so fast I couldn't finish anything. Its a Bemis soft close; These will fit, right? Almond or biscuit color would be great!

Just did the hood struts and they need a matching pair for the back!

Go ahead and enter me even though I like my old faulty struts . Btw my mother in law and her noggin hates them .

The other day I'm unloading a bunch of stuff out of the back of the Cruiser. The hatch comes down and hits me several times across my back. Later, as I'm taking my shirt off to get into bed, my wife says "What happened to your back?"
Me: What?
Wife: Its all scratched up!
Me: What?
Wife: They look like fingernail scratches!
Me: What??
Then she starts grilling me about the Hottie; er huh young lady, that moved in next door.

These struts will save my marriage!!

I know, my 2nd entry. Please disqualify me; I have a new set on the bench. Its just that the air is thin up here, Its the middle of winter, We got another foot of snow last night bringing our total to 13 1/2' so far, This one is true! The spirit of the raffle just hit me.

Can I fit 33's on stock rims?
