Hello everyone,
I had hoped to have some high speed access while in OZ but I did not so the pic's had to wait until I was back. I have a lot so I just posted them on my website for you viewing pleasure.
I can tell you that I drove a new 79 series (they seem to call it a 78 series is OZ) that was the special "RV" edition. This one was fresh from Toyota and did not have a bed or tray back on it yet. Cruiser has the 1HD-FTE Turbo Diesel engine with 5 speed I believe is the H150 or H151 trany. The truck has plenty of power, this "RV" addition also came with all power stuff, windows, door locks, mirrors, and the one I drove had front and rear E-lockers.
I also spotted a pretty good deal on a troopy one of the last days I was there. This was an 89' HZJ75 with 265k kilometers listing for 9k AUD, I am sure the dealer would have come down 1k on the price.
Speaking of Troopies, in talking to a dealer he told me that Troopies must be order from the dealer and they do not normally stock them on the lot, he mentioned that a guy bought one 1 month earlier and they did a search in all of OZ and only 1 dealer had one on the lot. Hmm, interesting I thought, maybe because there are so many used Troopies for sale.
Enjoy the Pictures,
