Hello everyone,

I had hoped to have some high speed access while in OZ but I did not so the pic's had to wait until I was back. I have a lot so I just posted them on my website for you viewing pleasure.

I can tell you that I drove a new 79 series (they seem to call it a 78 series is OZ) that was the special "RV" edition. This one was fresh from Toyota and did not have a bed or tray back on it yet. Cruiser has the 1HD-FTE Turbo Diesel engine with 5 speed I believe is the H150 or H151 trany. The truck has plenty of power, this "RV" addition also came with all power stuff, windows, door locks, mirrors, and the one I drove had front and rear E-lockers.

I also spotted a pretty good deal on a troopy one of the last days I was there. This was an 89' HZJ75 with 265k kilometers listing for 9k AUD, I am sure the dealer would have come down 1k on the price.

Speaking of Troopies, in talking to a dealer he told me that Troopies must be order from the dealer and they do not normally stock them on the lot, he mentioned that a guy bought one 1 month earlier and they did a search in all of OZ and only 1 dealer had one on the lot. Hmm, interesting I thought, maybe because there are so many used Troopies for sale.

Enjoy the Pictures,

Cheers,

Michael

Well I found a spot to store some stuff and some help to prep it for shipping in a container :D I am hoping by June to ship my first container over.

Michael

"Hmmm, I'm not too sure about this fella"

Hardly, I was not even there yet, my wife took that picture after asking the gentleman in the Cruiser if she could take a picture of his truck. I am sure she probably said something like "my husband is making me take pictures of Cruisers before he gets here" :D

Cheers Mate,

Michael

Thanks

I'll take that blue one.

Sure, do you want a tray back on it? That will be 58k AUD plus assemble and shipping so add another 11k AUD and you are all set. Oh and the warranty is void, sorry :crybaby:

Kidding of course ;)

Cheers,

Michael

wow.. with price tags like these I kind of understand why they don't bring the land-cruiser in Canada anymore...

Sorry I missed you while you were here, Looks like you made it to my stompping ground. By the way did you enjoy the "warm" weather ?
Regards

I am sorry I was not able to hook up with you in OZ. I found myself doing way more than I had anticipated. I love the sunshine coast and will be back hopefully this year to start doing some business in OZ.

Cheers,

Michael

Does TJM makes bull baras similar to ARB desing .. or all have this II WWar . ? :grinpimp: ( just kidding . ! )

Yes TMJ makes bull bars like ARB. I would say that ARB is the most known outside of OZ but there are many manufactures of bull bars and rear bumpers in OZ. I would also say that some are better and some are worse, what you can be sure of it that if a bull bar is made in OZ there is a very good chance it can withstand anything you might hit with it just about anywhere else in the world. For that matter, all of the auto manufactures I have spoken with have told me the same thing, OZ is the toughest environment (or harshest) that there product must stand up to so if it is sold in OZ it is tough (as far as SUV/Pickups go). After being in OZ I tend to agree with that.

One other note to anyone that is thinking about getting Cruisers from OZ. Do not expect to get a deal on a cruiser with low miles, there are very few older ones with low miles, and even the newer ones usually have high miles. There are some with low miles but they go for almost the same price as new ones.

cheers,

Michael

That's a good advice Michael ..

So you have one or ones other companies than ARB that makes good stuff ( bull bars, side bars ) to concat .. ?

Cheap .. ? expensive . ? ( compered to ARB off course .. )
