great advise on dealing with CCOT radiators, all! Thanks! I will definitly keep it in mind to go to local shop...
What about cruiserpartsdotnet... has anyone delt with these guys. How are they with their used stuff... I'm looking to pick up used PS and SM pumps from them they claim that it still has some good life left in it? don't know... it's their word. Better to go new or rebuilt/aftermarket?
Anyone?

i've ordered quite a bit of parts from them. parts were at my door within a week or two. the used ps pump is still going strong with no leaks. in fact all the parts used or new worked out well.

one bit of advice. i ordered used passenger and drivers side fenders a while back. they came with a few small dents in them. not a big deal, but figure the cost of straightening them into your budget. makes the used ones not such a good deal. they did knock off 25 dollars although it costs more than 25 bucks to straighten.

good company though, i'd use them again.

I purchased an A/C compressor and had it in less than a week. A couple of friends have also used them and no probems.

Yeah. I've bought quite a bit from James over the years. always got what I expected for the expected price, no gouging on the shipping. Will be buying more from them in the future.

I agree...very good experiences on this end

I've ordered from them at least 15 times. Mostly misc odds and ends like trim pieces, glove box grab handle, washer res., skid plate, etc. I've always had good experiences.

A little cleaning up is all anything ever needed.

Don't expect perfect pieces from James.
He is very honest, shipping is fast, and prices are resonable. However, a lot of the stuff is pretty rusty and banged up, but will be exchanged if it is really crappy.

Hey, used parts is used parts. ;)

The stuff I've gotten from James has always been exactly whats expected. I've seen a couple guys get stuff that was either damaged in shipping or had flaws thayt he had missed. He shipped them replacements immediately with no problems.

nothing but good experiences with them on this end.....
sells a good rebuilt PS gear box too I might add

I personaly have done alot of business with James. I have borrowed a part or two in the past. I have purchased countless parts from him and do so every month. I have learned that he has 10x more than what is listed on his website. If you need a rare part or think it does not available? Ask him first and I have found that he has had it! I bought a new Dist and igniter from him. He also will do a trade now and then if you have NOS parts that he does not have. The only bad thing is, He does not answer the phone and the only way to contact him is by e-mail via his website. He is honest and ships quickly.

I have used James and would do so again. I bought a used engine wireing harness for my 88 FJ-62 and he sent me one from an 89. He was on top of it and sent me the correct one within the next week, and had a label for me to return the incorrect harness back to him. He is a good alternative sometimes, and he offers a warranty.

i think they are great

i think this is the organization that i bought some spare wheels and a dash panel from. i was very satisified with both purchases and the dash panel especially, never thought i would find one of those

i have spent a small fortune with the valleys. I think the beauty of it is you can talk to a person.

I had chrome trim pieces shipped 3 times all damaged, James finally sent me oem for free which list at about $130. Not bad. ordered a radiator core support , didn't need it he said keep it no charge, not bad , but like I said I spent a small fortune with them, and would do again. The valleys are good cruiser/used parts dealers. Go for it.

Are you kidding? That's a feature, in my book. I can't usually take the time to call during the day; email's tons better for me. Wish more places did business over email (I'm looking at you, Liquid Offroad).

I've ordered one part from cruiserparts, arrived as advertised.

They are great to work with. I have purchased everything from a fj40 tub to misc relays, brackets. ect.. for my 3FE. James always comes through with exactly what I need.
