I passed a dark gray 60 on Coleman Blvd. this afternoon.
Lifted, and had kayak racks on top.
I think this is the same one I saw at Boone Hall.

That was me at Boone Hall, and also on Coleman on Tuesday.
Actually bought the 60 from the used lot at Crew's Chevrolet about 4 years ago. I couldn't believe it was there. Had an appointment to meet the sales guy at 9 AM. I showed up at 7 am... looked it over up and down and drove it home by 9:30. I had the head rebuilt at Lex Tech, and I've had McIntosh do some work as well. Both those guys are great.
I'll keep an eye on the message board and will get to one of the next meet-ups soon. Thanks for reaching out and leaving the note on my truck.

That's not me with the safari rack.
I've seen a blue 60 with a safari rack at Bishop England on Daniel Island a few times.... pretty sure it's the same truck as your photo.

I saw a pea green FJ45 eastbound on Clement's Ferry Rd this morning, around 8AM. He had ribs or crossbraces (for lack of a better term) for a canvas top, but it was an open bed. It was in good shape, probably restored. I've never seen a FJ45 around here and would have turned around if I had time. He could have been coming from Daniel Island.
Pics - or it didn't happen. We shall have a beating ceremony at the next HAMOM for not turning around...

So I'm on my way over to Jeremy's house to look at his old counters he graciously offered me for a project (turned out to be pine, so I'm still looking for scrap oak), and guess what I see in @CharlestonG8R 's neighborhood...a pristine FJ45, less than a mile from his house. An FJ45 in Jeremy neighborhood and he doesn't know--I make a motion we bring up Jeremy for dereliction of duty. It was at Jack's Auto Repair, I spoke with them and they're doing some rear axle work and waiting on JDM parts. The owner lives in Summerville and is a purist when it comes to his '69 FJ45. I took a couple of pics so someone unmentioned, ok Erik, doesn't accuse me of making up stories again.

The pictures look great! I drive by Jacks tonight and it wasn't there... Will try again tomorrow. On a side note, it's very festive looking and would look great in the Christmas parade.

Move over Erik, there's a new pristine 40 in town. I saw this very nice 40 with Oklahoma tags. I'm assuming he's moving to town, headed eastbound on 526 toward Daniel Island or Mt Pleasant.
