OK ,not the kind of Cruiser with 4 wheels. Was out camping south east of Horsefly at Bosk Lake and noticed on my BC backroads map another small lake nearby called Cruiser Lake (N52° 11.651' W120° 46.266'). Naturally I had to go check it out. There's no road to it but there is a trail. Would have taken my 45 down it but I didn't have it on this trip and didn't think taking my 8,000 LB Duramax was such a good idea as it looked a little soft in spots. So carried the canoe in the 400m off the road to the lake and the wife packed the rest of the gear with the quad. Was hoping for some particular size rainbows. 40, 45, 60, 70 or even an 80 cm is what I expected from a body of water called Cruiser Lake ;). Turned out to be nothing but Squaw fish :( but beautiful scenery, and lots of wildlife. Saw 3 moose, a buck, eagles and Loons all in a few hours!

Looks awesome! Ever considered canning those squaw fish with some spices to help with the bones? Like a tasteless tuna!

That looks like what I need right now, heck of a lot nicer than New Mexico heat! I know it's a dry heat, but I need to
get there. Just looked that waypoint up on my ipad. You're a ways from home. Haven't been in that area since about 5 winters ago. PGer'45 - I'll try to give you a call over the weekend. When's best?

First time in that area for us. More left to explore and far enough off the beaten path that it's not busy so I'll be going back. Was up to the old moly mine at Hendricks Lake and a cut block from last winter, both up around 1800 m. pretty good views. Looking down at Bosk and Cruiser Lakes

Thanks for posting! That is my old stomping grounds:) Horsefly and area is where I daydream about while I am at work. My BJ42 spent a lot of hours around there i.e. Doreen Lake, McKinley, Eureka Peak. Going up there in August...can't wait!

Stayed at Crooked lake for a few days before we moved to Bosk Lake. We rode part way up to Eureka but it's non motorized this time of year above 1500m. It's on my hit list to hike some time though, looks like a nice ridge. Were you sledding or hiking up there?

When it wasn't deactivated, I used to take my old '79 Ford F100 up there into the bowl and camp. Great huckleberries up there! It took quite a poke at the hill getting out of the bowl with that truck. Around 1997 the trenches were dug. Still made it with my 42 but ended up with an ovalized tail pipe:hillbilly:

I was a little north of PG for five years in the pulp mill..beautiful country
