Hello,

I shot Ali a pm on here in reference to looking at an FJ40 that I'm interested in. He's currently in Tennessee and suggested I just post here.

It is a 1965 FJ40. Very minimum rust, disassembled... I think, but everything is there. If someone is close enough to check it out for me, I'd be greatful. Maybe even take a couple pics of the interior. I'm currently serving in Korea and couldn't drive out that way even if I wanted to.

So, here's the link and thanks in advance! Please shoot me a PM.

I know that cruiser. looked at it over 10 years ago. he wanted that much back then. the trans and tcase are in the back bed. lol-"highly sought after ambulance doors" and the pic shows the NOT sought after double hinged lift gate. it is pretty rough. the interior has no good upholstery. it has been sitting in the exact same spot for 15 years at least. just know, it will need a full rebuild and restoration. it has an F engine, not a 2F. unless the pic is the wrong 40. he had another one in back, also not moved in 15 years that is a later model, not a '65.

IIRC the rust wasn't terrible, but the pic shows a rusted out rear sill too. I'm not in the east mtns to take a new look, but I thought back then it was worth about $500.

It does look like rust but the owner claims that there is no rust through anywhere. Thanks for the intel. I'd still like somebody to take a look that is closer. :hillbilly:

that's cool. it is on hwy North 14 for you east mtn guys. it is next to the youth hostel on the east side of the road.

I'm still seeing this rig offered for sale. Again, if anyone is close to the area and willing to look, let me know. Thanks.

Shoot! I've ogled that truck from the highway for years and years. Probably drove by it since I was a very young lad.

Daniel: I'll bet I could talk my Dad into going to look at it if you'd like. That's maybe 15 minutes from my folks' house.

Dan: Thanks for the offer! You've seen this truck in that spot for years?! If your dad is up to it, I'd be grateful.

The owner said that it is disassembled! :bang: Hopefully not totally torn down... Again, thanks for the offer!

Dad will go take a peek I believe.

The pics show what I remember (last drove by it a month or so ago). The body is on the frame, which has axles under it, passenger side door is removed--no idea about mechanicals.
