Hello,

I just purchased an 1996 HDJ80 24 valves and I can't get the cruise control to work.

Light on the dash is not coming up so I can't run the code diagnostic and the cruise control is not engaging.

I have checked the following pin on the ECU plug behind the pedals :
- Pin 16 Brake sensor has been working
- Pin 18 Coast, Set, Cancel send the correct info to the ECU
- Pin 19 is getting a signal when pressing On/Off
- Pin 13 is grounded
- Pin 14 is 12V after ignition
- Pin 15 is 12V permanent

Light bulb is functional but can't get it to light up grounding any pin on the ECU connector
Brake lights are not led and they are working fine.

The enclosed diagram is the closest to my ECU plug even if not 100% the same (ie can't get the light to come up using pin 7).

Is my ECU fried? I have read that it is extremely rare that they fail. (Part number : 88240-60110)

Where should I look next?

Thank you!

Regards

Anyone had the same issue in the past?
It's a lightbulb. Is the gauge fuse good? Are you getting B+ to one side of the bulb and ground to the other?
Pin 19 should be logic low when the CC switch is on.

re do your tests then this time use a incondecent light bulb or test light to check the load. A corroded connection or damaged wire with only 1 stand will have 12.5v but it wont flow enough amps to make the circuit work. check for power at the light bulb. check for continuity from the bulb to the ECU again, put a load on the wire with a test light. If all that's good try another cruise module. There are loads of different numbers but most will work. The JDM ones are speed limited so you don't want those. if you do get a different part number module dubble check that it's wired the same. last time I checked they were like $40 used on ebay here in the states.
