Hmm. I think you and I have very different definitions of "body armor"....I mean the plastic bumperettes might look good and protect against the odd shopping cart, but as far as real armor goes.... :p

LoL, read most of what was posted.
The more I think about it there are two options (I really don't think its a total, possible but I don't think so). During the estimates make sure to mention the steering and idle so they can make sure to look at them (anything noticable).
1. Get the estimates everything looks good, easy explinations for steering and idle. Get the check have the required damage repaired and the "optional damage" replaced (ie bumper, etc)
2. Estimates are kinda shaky on hiddn damage. Have it repaired. If the inital is like Dan thinks $4500 it wont total but once its torn into and underway if they find something unless its huge (more than the vehicle is worth in new damage) they will continue the repair. Unfortunately this option does not give you your nice aftermarket bumper etc but if there is that hidden damage this is the better route.

You should have just told the cops you just wanted to see how well your vehicle would fair in comparison in an accident ; P

Parts ordered and picked up the tools to do the front end (hopefully everything I need).

Anyone wanna help me swap out the sector shaft and pittman arm in this nice and warm weather we're having? :hhmm:
