I got a crankshaft sensor code and would like to know if anyone ever replaced a crank shaft position sensor

They are pretty bulletproof Wonder is something else could be the cause of the CEL

Those codes are usually very specific. If you have the FSM you can test it with a multimeter to double check.

I read the procedure and its straight forward. I will mesure ohms and replace if needed
Thank you

Replace the sensor with an oe part regardless of the ohm readings. It will probably test good but continue to throw a code if not changed. Fyi, failure is usually heat related.

Thats not good advice IMHO, if the sensor is good than it could be the harness connected to the sensor or a broken or frayed wire along the line. . Sounds silly to me to replace a $130 part which may be good just for the heck of it.
