What would be really cool is if it could actually TOW another rig behind it, say an 85 Pickup! But I suspect that it would not be a good tow rig candidate!

(Someday I may snag one of those engines though for my trail rig...course that means I will get sent to the back with the other stinky diesel trail rigs heh)

Hmmm

I see an opportunity :) hahahah...man I've got issues.

Awesome little truck. Yep it is deisel...think I might be able to work it out....of course it will be a trail rig only and not street legal.

Go for it! You have experience importing now.

It is actually here already. Sitting just outside our Motor Pool. It was suppossed to be for training but it had to many things wrong with it and there is no way to fund it to fix it. Basically I think it is just going to eventually be taken to one of the schools for training...i.e busted up and then eventually blown into a million little pieces.

How much :grinpimp:

My favorite price which is free. Techically I don't think it is on any books and it doesn't have a LIN or NSN number so it isn't an army item. I doubt this is somthing they would turn into DRMO.

So we will see. I ahve to focus on getting my other rig here first.

Did I ever tell you I hate you :flipoff2:

Well,

An interesting day yesterday. Without divulging to much information I may be comming into possession of what appears to be a 4 door 2L diesel Hilux (already solid front axle) a couple surfs if I remember correctly after lifting the hoods with HZ turbo engines no electronics (but automatics) and a few other small car diesel 4 cylinder engines (corolla, subaru wagon). One pretty interesting...kind of like a Volkswagen van but it is Mid engine, Diesel, and 4WD....Hmmmmmm. Closest I can find to it is called a Hiace.

I've got my mind spinning a million miles trying to figure out what to do with them all. I'm thinking a dedicated off-road hardcore rig with the Hilux, and just swapping the other newer turbo HZ's into a nice Tacoma like Gregs for an everyday driver rig, or a 40. There is no way to get any of these registered...I don't think I would even try. It would have to be a trailer queen or an engine swap.

Here is a couple of more phone pics.

You can sort of see the van next to it.

Don't hate :)

You'll find that I'm a big dreamer. I see opportunity every time I turn my head. Problem is making those opportunites reality...still working on that part. Army is a big dream crusher.

Making a couple of them raffle rigs might not bad of an idea. Some of those smaller 4 cylinders would I dare say it make great zuk transplanters.

I got that dream bug also.... my next daily driver is going to be an early 90's ext cab toyota with a toyota diesel stuffed into it. If you get these and need help moving them let me know.

I hear those 90's models ext diesel pickups are pretty nice, they also get good MPG's from what I've heard :D

I also hear that their owners get a disease and can't take them off road :flipoff2:
