Umhmmm. Yeah, I would know exactly what to do with all of those. I never had that many requests for 1kz engines but if the price was right I can guarantee they would sell. Now a 1hz, those will sell all day long. I have a standing offer with my guy in japan to buy any 1hd-t motors he finds. In four years of importing I have never gotten one. If your army pals come across any of those, snag them all. Very hard to find.
Well I just checked today and they are 1KZ-TE engines in the surfs.
It appears to be a 3L (not as in 3 liter) engine in the Hilux.
The other two cars are toyota Corrolla 1.8 and 2.0L wagons and the van is a lite ace. Was probably a really nice van when it came off the dealer assembly line. Then a POS the second it touched Afghanistan soil

Interior had seen better days. See the engine hump there. Really cramps leg room.

Jason, hang on to the 1kz-te's if you can, when you get rid of them you will wish you hadn't. They like the 1hdts barry mentioned are tough to come by because of import laws, if I recall correctly they came in the 95+ surfs.
Also looks like based on the plates that the 1kz-te's have an auto behind them, that correct?

Correct....but won't any toy 5 speed from the same year bolt right up? Give you have the flywheel, clutch, pilot bearing etc?

Sure why not...would take a custom adapter like Ramon did. I don't think you could use the auto..might be to long I'm not sure...the E part of the engine is a bit more work as well. You can put the non electronic pump in it but getting one of those would be pretty tough so I hear as most of the 1KZ-T's were electronic.
Talked to the guy at work today and he said he checked everything and as long as the guys that he brought them back for don't want to use them before they deploy (in a month) which I know they won't...he said I can just come by with a trailer and DISPOSE of them

I just noticed the shifter in that lite ace is for a right hand drive vehicle. That is odd.

Going to try and work the final details today. As of now engines in all are locked in but they still want the vehicles...trying to work it to trade them another vehilce (they just need rolling bodies) to trade out for the Hilux and and possibly the runners.
