There's a 2 tone white and tan 2001 100 series at skyline auto sales in Conway. If you head north on 65 they are at the top of the hill on the right. I know nothing about it but it looks clean

This guy has 2 active listings on craigslist for this truck right now. Looks pretty clean. If I hadn't found one by now I'd be really interested since it has low miles for the year and the factory rear locker.

The owner and I emailed back-and-forth a few times last night. In addition to the mechanical problems he says the interior is pretty shot. Both front seats are ripped and the carpets very stained according to him. I'm still tempted to go look at it tonight.

I didn't realize this until Jayston told me but to change the starter you have to pull off pretty much the whole intake.

Yep, the starter is buried under the intake, right between the heads. I've owned two 2UZ 4.7 motors and I've always feared having to change a starter.

That's a hell of a deal. Pull the carpet out and pressure wash it and throw some seat covers on it for the time being.

It's got the magic dial on the dash

maybe some bedliner inside-if the engine's good, you could sure run the crap out of it for $4K... It'll be a cold day in hell though before I ever buy another black/dark colored vehicle...just too damn hot in the summers

Looks cool bud...have you had a RTT before?

Nope, looking to get the LC/LX first. But the wife and I have talked very serious about it. Have off road trailer thanks to another Mud member. I like the RTT concept but not sure I want to have only one with a family of four. The ones with enough room look too big and heavy for the roof. Especially on a FJ. Ideally would like 2 smaller ones, so I don't have to take one big one if there's only 2 camping. This set up plus one more smaller on would be perfect. Now where's my money tree.

That's cool...I had an RTT on my 60...I would recommend something like an Oztent instead...RTTs are a pain in the butt...they look cool, but unless you have a pop up, they're kinda hard to manage...I think my wife thought it was cool until she had to crawl out at night to use the bathroom...the privacy is nice being up high but another trade off is trying to pack up in the rain...all this except the packing up part might be different on a trailer...that's probably the best configuration for sure
