What is the process for warranty replacement for Craftsman tools ? is there still a warranty program?

I have some screw drivers that have started to rust.

Please no shade on the brand, I am a modest "do it yourself " mechanic with 3 kids in college and an x that's bleeding me dry!

Thanks

cant imagine you would get warranty for a non failed tool.
that said, afaik lowes handles them now. warranty should be the same as ever.

The local Ace Hardware sold Craftsman. Been a few years now so not sure if they still do. They denied me warranty anyway.

I just had a cracked chrome, 3/8 drive, 6 point socket. I had to get a store employee to get one out from behind a locked security cabinet. ( Thanks shoplifters) At the checkout an alert popped up and the manager had to be called. He came up and said they only warrantied the EXACT same tool. I told him it is. ???? The part number is different so he said no warranty. Mine was from the 80's and made in USA. The manager was a total dick to me in the checkout. I would have just paid for the socket if it weren't for that. Instead, I buy my hardware online and replace my vintage Craftsman tools from eBay.

I had the same a same experience at Ace. I dealt with the wife/owner who was clueless and erogant. I actually purchased the socket from the store but it was just over 12 months since the purchase and she wouldn't replace it. Now, I go out of my way to avoid that store. I went to Lowes, they told me to go get another one, no question or receipt asked. A friend just exchanged a broken breaker bar at Lowes. The only disappointing thing about it was the new one no longer says "made in USA".

Some Ace stores are the best, others, not so much. I really like the fact I can go to Ace, Tractor Supply, & Orielly's both in CA & TN, makes it feel like home. I do compare prices and it was shocking to me when I found that Macdonalds & Home Depot had same prices in Nor Cal as in TN. It won't be long before that Macdonalds is gone. The Cali prices don't fly too long in TN.
