Got a pinhole from a rock in my headlight. problem is i didnt see it till condensation built up inside it. i need to get rid of the water. How do i do this? and what should i use to fill the hole?

how big is the hole? to get rid of the water you could pull the light and drain it, then take some of those packets they use to absorb moisture. As for fixing the hole, it all depends on how big it is.

its the size of a pin head. I have an extra headlamp assembly but i gotta goto my parents house to see which it is, either driver side or passanger side.

is it clear

ok kool. After the giants game im going to stop by my parents house and check out which headlamp i have there. does anyone know if i can remove the glass from the plastic, because the headlamp that is in the garage has a broken mounting bracket.

well you could bake them and then pull off the clear part, then reassemble and seal them. Lots of the "tuners" do it when they do a HID retrofit, angel eyes or paint their headlight housings...so its possible, might take a half day to do though.

well it wont work cause its the wrong headlamp

you could put paint protection film over the whole light, that would seal it, and help protect it from future holes. I put it on my foglights after i replaced them to protect them from road rash.

I've also got the same stuff on everything from the B-pillar forward including mirrors lights and rockerpanels on the 911, practically undetectable. Guys at the dealerships dont even notice it!

Pull the bulb out and you can use a hair dryer to dry it out if you are in a hurry. I have the gel covers on mine. That would work great for sealing it. In the past I've used clear silicon to fill holes in headlights. But a clear glue or cement might even work better. Even Superglue dries pretty clear.

SG dries clear on most things except enclosed clear plastic. Ask anyone who has made a model airplane and used SG to fix the cockpit windows and they'll tell ya. Then again maybe a large headlight it wouldnt fog up much.
