I forgot to post this up last Friday. But a Jeep guy that I work with is part of JustRuns, a Yahoo group for offroad runs, and he told me that Coyote Canyon in Borrego has been graded. I guess a trail leader went to pre-run it a couple weekends ago for an upcoming run and it had been completely graded and you can take a lowered Cruiser up it now.

That sucks. I am going out there in a few weeks too. At least there are plenty of other trails to run. Still sucks though.

Yeah too bad :( they’re developing the area; some homes are going up so that doesn’t surprise me.

Its only north or the upper Coyote section that’s out of way and a dead end anyways. South or lower Coyote just out side of Borrego Springs is the same as before.

Two bad they closed the middle willow section of to wheelin’ a few years ago. When the two sections where connected and before the grading, it was one of the premier trails in all of Socal and challenging at the same time before the park service started stacking/filling in the rock gardens.

That would suck - that was a nice little rock garden getting up into Coyote Canyon. Just enough fun to keep the rif raf out.
