Given the connector is from the axle back l've enough electrical wire to rewire that section of loom from the connector to the far tail light.. l'm thinking of using 75amp wire for the lights including the licence plate...is 75amp sufficient for the job...?

l've also re-earthed the loom (left side) front & back..as the flasher is out of sync...quick/quick... l fitted a new relay & the drivers side (R/H) is working fine..is there a 2nd relay for the passenger side..?..l'm not seeing it.

14 gauge ought to work nicely. Use good wire with insulation that isn't soy base for rodent chow. Water proof connectors would be a good plan too. Wiring questions are best answered on the correct wiring diagram for your rig. I think I have one flasher can for the turn signals and one for the hazards. But it might be a black box control unit. Sorry I haven't had to work on lights in like 30 years and I have other rigs too. Oh and getting older isn't helping.
Old flashers need real the resistance of regular light bulbs. LED bulbs need a different relay or an added resistors to blink properly.

l found the reels of wiring in my mate Davy's workshops after he passed away last year & his son was clearing the units out & had invited me over to pick out anything l wanted/needed before selling the house, l don't know how old it is, knowing Davy (a master hoarder) its most likely 70's stuff with no rodent damage & legible labels...(75 amp 600 volt)..1 reel of black wiring & 1 yellow from Brazil of all places, he never left Scotland..;)). l am going to use a new multi (10) connector block & run the wiring back from there. (its currently got a mish mash of added slide connectors from the back to the existing box connector, so there's obviously been issues in the past, it was tucked into the chassis leg)..l replaced the single indicator relay last year it was okay until l replaced the old front wing indicator units and had this issue appear, so l cleaned the light earths & it was ok, now its doing it again with all existing rear earths cleaned & additional earths added... thats whats stumped me... l use traditional bulbs from a selection of working 1970's bulbs....l call them my Davy lamps.....any miners will know what l mean...:D
