Hello -
My speedometer cable has busted off right at the sleeve... I am in no hurry to fix it because I use GPS to monitor speed since the accuracy of the speedometer was off due to running larger than stock tires. The question is, will I do damage to something else if I leave the the hole open where the cable used to be? If/when I get around to doing the cable... how hard is it? It looks pretty easy with the exception of behind the control panel cluster.
Also, I want to mount some additional lights to my front yakima bar and was wondering what setup is best for a non-modified/stock fj62 (no dual batteries, no alternator upgrade, etc)? Would I be better off running dual batteries or upgrading to a MeanGreen alternator, etc then get additional lights later?
I did some searching and found a lot of topics regarding types/brands of lights for certain situations but not much regarding the number/type of lights a stock setup with accomodate.
Any feedback is always appreciated...
