Second post on this board, quick backstory: bought a 2001 TLC at 75K miles in 2015. Faced with replacing the ABS module with labor at $3,500.

I have quite a bit of sunk cost into the vehicle (new transmission, radiator, windshield, new all weather & studded snow tires, major tuneup last year).

My plan is to pay for the repair and sell the vehicle for best offer. The other option would be to tow it to my house and then sell it as is to someone with the skills to do the job for less on their own.

Does the second option seem far fetched?
I'm in the Salt Lake City area.

It seems like there is less risk and investment in option 2. Worth a shot if you have the space and a little patience.

Thanks snowwjob1. This LC has shaken my faith in the brand after 25 years of being a toyota evangelist. (91 4wd pickup extended cab -> 2001 4runner -> 2001 LC).
