Mines about to hit 180 ......
Your engine's about to hit 180K or your T-belt (or both). My 2000 was sold to me as having a T-belt at 90,000 miles; however, I later determined it was probably original. It was quickly changed (at 170,000 miles), and even though it certainly wasn't new, it didn't look like it was anywhere near failure (visually, that is).

Everyone knows the consequences if one DOES break, but apparently, there is a LOT of "extra life" built into these belts.

Speaking of that, does anyone know of an instance where a 100 T-belt has actually failed?

Oooops, sorry Nolen. Just noticed this is in the Picture of the Day thread and not 100 tech.........well, I didn't start the discussion. ;p
 
Its my understanding the failures are not necessarily belt related but more likely a water pump that goes from seap to leak. Once the pump starts leaking... all kinds of problems begin
