No issues I have ever heard with these engines. Timing belts and water pumps, sometimes a coil or two.... Otherwise they are pretty much a bulletproof, conservative Toyota engine.
I was doing a 180k service on a 100, along with front and rear brakes, new CV, and front end bearing pack. So 2 solids days of busting knuckles!
