Yep. NORAD was my dads gig. In fact, that pic was taken inside an aircraft hangar that the AF let us use for our hockey league.

Cool place to spend a few years. We gotta chat some time. Great memories of all the winter sports and summers spent in the woods and waters. Loved every minute (except shoveling snow).

Right on, it was a great place to grow up, I lived two minutes from Troute Lake and could walk from my house to the back door of the Norad entry facing the lake... As kids we played in the mountains of rock they pulled out of the that hill.

Hockey was a way of life in that town.....out door ice rinks and skating for miles on the lake when it froze and the wind wiped it clean...many times I came home with almost frozen toes..great little ski hill...

Next time we meet at a cruiser gathering....

True story...

I was recently shipping something at the Madison FedEx. Grogan's 100 was parked next door at the coffee shop. After the box was on its way I walked next door to say hello. Nolen was nowhere to be found?? Maybe the coffee worked and he was in the can? Then I turned around and looked back toward the door. There was Julie simultaneously working her laptop, iPad and iPhone. Expecting Nolen, but getting to say hi to Julie... What a nice surprise!
