This one ran my truck down on the Natchez Trace. My wife named her Trixie. This little hooker is the most expensive dog I’ve ever owned. Oooh she bad.

Glad he's found a home - this thread needs more cats. Well done

This dog’s only value is that the kids like him. Can’t hunt, won’t fetch, no points on the man card, as much a cat as he is a dog...but he’s okay.

A tale of two kittens...

Last year when out west at Rubithon, the Stayner twins pulled a litter of kittens out from under a barn at 4 weeks old. They were wild but at that age, were able to be tamed. One died, one was given to another cruiser family, the 2 girls stayed and i took the remaining boy home on a plane. Fast forward to this year. One of the twins took one of the girls leaving one to fend for herself at the ranch as everyone moved out. I couldn’t leave her there, so I repeated the trip back to Houston. Now Oreo and Cadet are reunited and it’s been kitty WWE in my house for a week. And I’m a sucker.

Our goobers get along fairly well, better than any two I've had before. Sometimes its snuggling together, sometimes its chewing on the others ears and sometimes its a stormchase throughout the loft.

Really pleased to see the feline content increasing here...

Adam and Eve said "Lord, when we were in the garden, you walked with us every day. Now we do not see you anymore. We are lonesome here, and it is difficult for us to remember how much you love us".

And God said "I will create a companion for you that will be with you and who will be a reflection of my love for you, so that you will love me even when you cannot see me. Regardless of how selfish or childish or unlovable you may be, this new companion will accept you as you are and will love you as I do, in spite of yourselves".

And God created a new animal to be a companion for Adam and Eve. And it was a good animal and God was pleased.

And the new animal was pleased to be with Adam and Eve and he wagged his tail.

And Adam said "Lord, I have already named all the animals in the Kingdom and I cannot think of a name for this new animal".

And God said "I have created this new animal to be a reflection of my love for you, his name will be a reflection of my own name, and you will call him DOG".

And Dog lived with Adam and Eve and was a companion to them and loved them.

And they were comforted.
And God was pleased.
And Dog was content and wagged his tail.

After a while, it came to pass that an angel came to the Lord and said "Lord, Adam and Eve have become filled with pride. They strut and preen like peacocks and they believe they are worthy of adoration. Dog has indeed taught them that they are loved, but perhaps too well".

And God said "I will create for them a companion who will be with them and who will see them as they are. The companion will remind them of their limitations, so they will know that they are not always worthy of adoration".

And God created CAT to be a companion to Adam and Eve.

And Cat would not obey them. And when Adam and Eve gazed into Cat's eyes, they were reminded that they were not the Supreme Beings.

And Adam and Eve learned humility.
And they were greatly improved.
And God was pleased.
And Dog was happy.

And the Cat? The Cat didn't care one way or the other.

Diogi just turned 13. He is deaf and has arthritis but his sense of smell hasn’t changed. He was sound asleep, snoring and woke up to the smell of Chick-Fil-A. And so the staring contest begins.

When you live in the country, sometimes heartless stupid people help you adopt new pals...

No collar, super sweet, clearly not a stray. Got in the car twice with Erin today and really wants to go inside. Erin wants to keep her, but we are out of town this weekend, so not sure how that will go. Need to take her to the get to have her checked for a chip, then shots if we get that far. Looks like a lab mix, I'm guessing not more than 2 years old. Hasn't left my side since I got home. She was a pet, sad that folks will just drop them in the road and drive away. Heartless...

Best kind!

Enjoy.

Sometimes pets adopt owners too ya know :)
Due diligence to make sure not lost but she obviously likes the new digs.

Yeah, she seems like she could be a great pup, we'll see if we get thru the weekend.

Speaking of new additions .... moved my dad into a assisted living spot so I’ve acquired a crazy new addition. Kate the mini Aussie doodle is loving the farm life and while admittedly i prefer her shaggy the ticks required a country style summer cut.

She has landed in solid 3rd social order place here as the cat bullies, stalks and attacks her at will.

December 2005 when my wife and I first got Diogi. He was the runt of the litter. Had no clue that he would become 120lbs.

BF left his pooch here for the day while he had a late call. He is an Aussie doodle named Ozzie. And he’s none to thrilled at the moment, but he was stinky. The cats hate him. He likes the cats, way too much.
