Doc, write a check to Rob for 20k and one for 15k to your body shop. It will be ready by late spring 2015...

Get some sleep then tell me what comes to the Boss mans mind in the morning

Bossman would tell you to haul that up to him and bring a ck for $21k and you can have his stock Green turn key 40.

Are you thinking rebuild/restore? Man, I hate to rain on your Cheerios but you will be upside down in a hurry. Sorry, just how I see it.

If you are thinking about building a wheeler you have a decent start.

I don't understand this sometimes. Andrews truck is priced well...cut a check and not worry.
You can drive it till wheels come off and get parts ANYwhere....

Stopped by Rob's today and saw this truck. WAY less dodgy in person than in the pics.

Noel, this is the PERFECT truck for you to restore. Since everything has got to come apart anyway, you can decide how far to take it at each and every juncture. One MAJOR suggestion: follow Rob's instructions. He can lead you from where you are to where you want to go with this truck, mainly because he understands the correct steps and the order in which they should be taken. Otherwise, this could end up being a GIGANTIC do / redo project.

As vehicle restorations go, this is way towards the easy end of the scale. Listen to Rob and the 40 guys on CLC. That way, you'll avoid the complexities that aren't really there.

Not that you solicited my opinion.....but you got it anyway. I think you bought a truck that can turn out to be really nice, but it won't be fast or cheap. Not that any frame-offs ever are.........

Man looking at all these pics makes me nostalgic/happy/tired/nauseated all at the same time :)

I've got a good idea of what you will have to spend at a minimum. I know you can spend a lot more than I will wind up having in mine, but I can't see doing it for less...

Subscribed and looking forward to seeing the transformation!

Restore the bady and frame. Keep the stock axles and suspension design, upgrading where you see fit (lift, 4 wheel disc, etc). Keep the interior simple. Drivetrain choices are harder. Rebuilding Toyota stuff right is costly and GM swaps are a great choice if you can do most of the work yourself.

Agree on following Robs advice. He knows his stuff.

I've already voted (reference my comments about 10 stream of consciousness posts above).

As you know, the built axles on the truck above are for sale for big money. You could build the same setup (better in fact) with the 80 axles you already have.
