I'd send that to a PDR (paintless dent removal) shop. They are magicians and I think that might just be a perfect canvas for them to show you a trick or two.
My guess is $500, but that's a wild guess. I'd be shocked if a skilled shop couldn't get that near perfect for under $1000 - probably half that or less.
Mine was rusted right under the glass, left of the wiper. I have one coming from California next week, perfect condition, same 1c3 paint. $625 to my door in Florida.I would expect a PDR guy could get 95% of that dent out for a few hundred dollars. Because it crosses a factory body “crease”, and gets so close to the glass, I suspect that at certain angles/logging it would still be somewhat visible.
If it gets much above that, it would probably make more sense to replace the upper hatch, with a salvage hatch in the same color.
