Cost Comparison Advice Needed (1 Viewer)

Hello,
I am looking for some advice on which gx460 to buy for some moderate off roading, nothing crazy serious. Looking at a 3 inch lift, skids, sliders, maybe bumpers and an after market locker.

I have found two very well priced gx460s, both are well maintained with great service records. I am looking to keep the car long term, but I am budget sensitive. With option 2, I can pay everything cash, option 1 will require a small loan from a local credit union. Just wondering what are your stances on a higher mileage engine for the gx460, especially given that they are less proven than the gx470 v8s. Thanks!

Create an account here Lexus Drivers and enter VIN for both. Presuming the trucks are equally clean from rust, interior, etc, i'd go with option 2 if you are going to be building it a little anyways.

Considering that you want to keep it a while, you may also want to consider how many miles you plan to load on it every year.
If you're only using it for recreation and around town, say, maybe less than 5,000 mile/year, I'd go with the cheaper on.
On the other hand, if it's your daily driver and commuter, go with the more expensive one.

Also, you may want to look around a little longer. You may still get a better deal and maybe newer.
