I noticed yesterday while fueling that i have some white/rust corrosion on my fill port. The metal guide thingy that you insert the pump into had some corrosion on it. Anyone else have this? Is this something i should be concerned with? IE: moisture in my fuel system......I would take a pic but it's raining outside now.

I seem to remember something like that on my 4Runner I had in highschool. Never had any trouble with it, just wanted to let you know its not just you:)

THanks Josh. Anyone else?

Had same on my 81 280zx, never caused a problem, Would hot hurt to run some water remover through also just in case.

If you have not done your fuel filter yet you should and cut it open, look for rust.

If I had some on my 80 I would probably be tempted to replace the filler, if it is reasonable I would pick one up now and swap it in when the rust gets bad.

Or you could use it as an excuse to get an AUS sub tank, it comes with a new ( to you ) filler neck.
