What corrosion? Looks like road salt or gravel spray on the road.
He's from California, so reddish means "corrosion"
The truck is fine.
As for the price it might be fine considering you're buying in California. I paid the same for same miles but a 13' LX in 2019. Since then, prices have come down a bit but usually LC costs more than LX's.
