I obtained a used but still excellent condition set of RS5000's for my 3/92 80 series a while back. They're now fitted and I threw away the el-cheapo 'Ultima' brand shocks that were fitted previously as the rears were both stuffed and the fronts were going bad.
Now I was able to re-used all the rubber bushes that were with the front pair of RS5000's, but for the rears the factory Toyota lower shock bushes do not fit the Rancho's and the ones that were being used with the el-cheapo shocks have been a bit damaged.
I have been looking at the listings for Rancho poly bushes on the US ebay site and I think RS981's are the right type for the upper and lower front bushes, and probably for the upper rear ones too, but I haven't worked out which ones will suit the lower rear locations.
For those of you who have fitted RS5000's to your 80 series, what bushes did you use with the lower-rear mounts? I know that new Rancho's come with bushes (rubber ones I think) but since mine didn't have anything for the lower rear mounts, I've just had to re-use the Toyota ones and force them in with the nuts and large washers. Very non-optimal!
Thanks if you can help out here. I'm looking to replace all the rubber shock bushes with poly ones.
Craig.
