So...po put 17x9 steel pro comp wheels with off brand Cooper mt. I am no longer interested in the him of the intercom sound of my younger days...I would like the option of running hub caps but I don't see that possible with staying in the 17 size rim. I don't know what is minimum width rim you can run with, say a 255/85 tire. The klevers have caught my eye at a rollback price of like 165 for a 35x10.5 and 150ish for a 33.5x10.5. before, I was set on one of the coopers lol. No idea what to do now....

you cant compare the st maxx to the At3. At3 is a 99% street AT with nice looking sidewalls.

the Cooper ST MAXX can hang in the rocks and defeat knifes in a knife fight. Super strong and sturdy - best sidewall on the market

Recently, I was torn between the ST Maxx and AT3 xlt. After reading that the AT3 was smaller VS other brand with same size and finally, wanting a more aggressive thread (but not too much) and robust tire, I opted for the ST Maxx. Very satisfied.

Have both the ST Maxx and the AT3 XLT and can confirm much of the above.
Main thing that you have to be wary of is that there is no mileage rating on the ST Maxx, thus you will probably get about 30k miles out of them (about what I have and down to 3/32").

Have the AT3 XLT on the wife's '11 4Runner an they have been great tires in the snow, some offroad (mainly dirt roads) and everyday driving. Funny thing is that they have a very slightly, low hum to them where as the ST Maxx were, and have been, dead silent the entire time. If it weren't for my budget and the fact that these new tires are going on the daily driver (and I need tires NOW) I would probably go back with the ST Maxx. But alas, my 60 will be getting new AT3s in the next few days.

How tall are they ?

Cooper web site say Overall Diameter : 30.2

I appreciate all of the replies. I needed new tires today and was not having luck finding the St Maxx in stock any where. So I ended up at Sam's Club and bought the ko2 in a 285/70r17 today for about 184 a tire. I am pleased with the fit and the lack of mud tire hum and noise.
