Cool new Rooftop Box for my FJ

Just curious why you didn't consider a Storm or Pelican? Cheaper, lighter, waterproof.

First, by ordering a custom case I get one that fits just the way I want it.

Second, Cost. The closest Pelican case is $400.00 it is is 44 lb.

The Storm case is about $100 less but is not as efficient in the space.

Nice solution Thomas, I've often wondered why people don't just resort to using construction tool boxes myself. They don't look as nice as your Partner but are much more secure.

I know the FJ Cruiser is supposed to continue the LandCruiser tradition. But I think expecting a FJC rack to support a tool box big enough to have built-in forklift lifting points is just a little over the top

Do you tow the forklift to the campsite to get the toolbox down or do you install a ladder for access and leave that big@ss thing bolted to the roof?


Gotta admit being able to put all the light stuff up there leaves more room in the FJC for beer

The box is bolted in place on the rack, hence it will not be lifted down. It functions as a recovery gear and tool storage box.

The box I ordered had the dimensions specified as 35″x21″x10.5″. ....
The cost for all of this: $334.00 plus $25.00 in shipping.

For future reference,
I have two of these and they are much stronger and lighter than an equivalent steel or plastic box. The price is also nice.
