This was parked next to my 2015 Jeep Compass when we were leaving Duck the other morning.
Stunning.

Agreed. I haven't followed PWC long but I've got the DVR set to record anything with "auto racing" in the description or name. Then I sift through what seems interesting. Lucas Oil Offroad Pro-Lite and Pro-2 is damn entertaining too (more than the Buggy and Pro-4 classes for sure).

Question for you guys:

My wife and I are planning on an Exodus from Jackson in the next year or so, and are seriously considering building in Madison or Ridgeland.

Any idea what a rough sq/ft cost would be for something with nice quality? I had heard around $125 sq/ft, but wasn't even sure if that was too high or low.

Todd, you just went through this. Does that sound right?

I guess Rankin Co. is too redneck and safe for ya huh? LOL just joking. Madison for sure...

My friend who is a builder said $100-$140, so your $125 is about right. There are plenty of houses out this way--cheaper than building unless you're really set on it.

Yeah, were pretty set on what we want. Haha. You bet your ass it will make a builder weep, @wngrog . But it'll be perfect, and beautiful, and I'll start a thread on cleaning the reclaimed heart pine floors with 2 buckets.

Talked to Greg today and a friend who does custom homes, and was told $175 should be more than enough to get a very fine house.

No Rankin Co for us (even though wife works on Lakeland) the commercial aspects of it coupled with rush hour traffic is a huge turn-off for us.

We have enjoyed the city, but were ready to get somewhere safer now that we have a small family and plan on growing too. We will hang on to this house and use it as an income property; the rent prices are astronomical around here, and people are jumping to pay too, since we're so close to the med-school.

Andrew give me a holla if ya want to know the ins and outs of building in madison. I have a great builder that is much cheaper than most builders around madison. I had a great experience building and would do it again in a heartbeat.

If it does end up happening, it will be epic for sure. I look forward to lots of you losers talking' s***. :moon:
