Anyone have any experience painting plastic?

My bumper comes with a piece of black trim that I need to paint the same color as my 200.

Do you have to prime plastic the same way as metal, or do you do something special?

I've done it a couple times. Scuff it real good with some 3M scotch brite, then hit with adhesion promoter, then prime, then paint, then clear.

There's probably a better/other way, but have had success with this.

Can you get adhesion promoter from an auto parts store?

Its good, but I'd even say get the Harbor Freight version; cheaper, and works great. (I have one with a number of hours behind it)

Just make sure you get high quality velcro (hook and loop) baked pads from another vendor, like Chemical Guys.

Did it include a new RZR too?

You've had $3509 worth of fun with that rig! Plus, it's had the hell run out of it!

I'm going to use this logic on you the next time the purdy truck gets a scratch...

The RZR thing is just sad. If I was going to spend that I want 20% more horsepower.

I just hate that I waited. Waiting once the smoke started cost me an extra $1500

It's the airbox on these things. Notable weak link that allows dust to skip by. Doesn't take much.

As for the $.....it would have cost more than that to trade it and I don't like either of the 2 current options.

It's new now and the best ever 4 seat model so I'm good.

Finally, Jeff. You right. I've gotten that much fun out of it. I used to s*** $3500 "breakage" bills when I rockcrawled.

This RZR is lightly used compared to the majority of the mud dog RZRs you see in MS. It pretty much stays wide ass open though.

MF'n scary fast.....when you be hitting rocks. I be honest I didn't have the balls to go wide open. I still have pride in saying that :flipoff2: on first ever drive.

Guy that built my bumper traded a spensive tool for a 2 seat RZR that had some big motorcycle motor swapped into it. Was like effing scary fast.
