I'm sitting here trying to see what orbitals Home Depot and lowes have. My front quarter looks like glass compared to the rest of the truck and no way I'm doing that by hand.

Is it worth it to go with synthetic rope? Any pros/cons besides the obvious safety improvements?

I have not used the rope. cable. at $200+ to replace the rope that will fray on rocks…i would stick with cable. now if it comes with rope or is $100 more to get rope. may be worth it at that point. just keep in mind replacement cost. I don't use the winch very much so i just use what comes with it..

It's cypress. It should not need anything but we put a 1/2 pint of teak oil on it.

Only thing it can do is crack right? That will make it fit in even better.
