@orangefj45 Nice mayor you all have!

Hot lap on the race mower. (yeah, I know it's upside down. I threw a belt on the second take and then ran out of time to try again.)

^ SO much awesome Cam.

On TOP of the family history.

You need to team up with two buckets and do a full on restore on that thing. I'm tellin you, it would never see another blade of grass if it were mine.

My original thought was to just clean it up, paint it, put new tires on it, and use it as an occasional Mad Max utility tractor.

Then I cut the back yard and feared for my life. I thought i was going to die. Even though it steers where it should, the rear steer throws me off. It's not intuitive like a forklift.

I wasn't sure what to do with it after that.

But then I decided to cut the front yard and got the hang of it. It was even fun.

This has been in use for 50-55 years, up until last year where he used it a few times (he kept a log to keep up with usage & oil changes).

I think I would actually feel more guilty if I didn't use it.

I may change my mind, but my plan now is to change the tires, oil & belts, clean it up, sharpen the blade, get new seat foam, maybe look into cleaning the carb (maybe not), and just poke around and see if anything needs tweaking.

I may even try to improve a few things (but nothing that would violate the spirit of it), maybe do some paint here & there. We'll see. I'm not rushing into it.

I just some info from my uncle...

The transmission is from a '36 Terraplane (Hudson), and the steering wheel is from a '55 Olds.

^Is that special or something?^

Thoughts on extended dealer warranties? Got one, like um, think they are junk?

Wife has a honda van. Hit 60k and at ...... No kidding..... 60345 miles had engine light. Apparently ECO mode (gas saver 3 cylinder) causes excessive oiling and plugs get fouled..... Yet Honda doesnt cover it.

I know THE answer is "sell van, buy cruiser, when broke take to 49cruiser" however. What is your opinion on extended warranties?!
