So i know this question has been asked before but not recently that searching brought up. has any one doen a removeable har top for there 60? i know it could be done and would be alot of work but, i think it would be both awsome and worth it. my thought are do something like a scout. add a lip on the body and top at the point of the cut then sandwich a rubber gromit in there and bolt it in place when i want it on and remove it when i want it gone. the real question is more in satbility if i made it like a runner top where the top came off to the back of the driver seat would it make the body extreamly weak? i intend to cage my wagon eventually any way could it be made to keep the structure or am i trying to polish a turd here?

just looking for oppinions. im on someone elses puter right now but, as soon as my puter is un busted ill do some pics with cut lines ect. but in the mean time if any one else is inspired to make up suggestion pics feel free.

thanks

It has definately been done. I recall Tapage in Panama may have gone that route. I believe it loosens up the body/frame and some twist might be an issue. I thought just removing the rear area over the back would be nice.

Tapage has a soft top, sweet by the way. Don't recall a hard top version. Almost have to be carbon fiber to be light enoughf to off load by hand for a couple of folks, but give it a go, and remember we love pictures. LOL

You could look for a fiberglass campershell for a long bed minitruck. Check the measurements since I'm sure one is close. Get one with solid sides so you can add windows if you want.

Tapage or Lunyou could probably get you some measurement since thier tops have been removed already.

88 take alot of pics so i can learn from your mistakes. i doubt if mine will be any time soon but ive been kicking th eidea around long enough i figured ide see what the mud brain thought.

Well sheeit.

Drive done next weekend and help me cut one up. You can make all the cuts and take all the measurments you want.

You can crash at my place if you want.

All I have is a Saws All(Electric), Air Grinders, TS 360, TS 400, TS 700 (Gas Powered) and a Victor Gas Axe.
