I recently purchased a ‘15 LC after my ‘16 Denali was swiped from the hotel valet in Houston. Have fallen hard for the LC base but noticed the newer LCs and even 13-15 LXs have the dual HID setup that looks amazing.
I have scoured the boards and internet, but has anyone found a conversion for the High beam/DRLs to HID? Preferably in a headlamp unit in whole.
I have found the component pieces and retrofit equipment, but I am not all that savvy to cut a hole in the headlamp unit and install HID ballasts, eyes, bulbs etc.

I think it would cause me literal pain to cut up a headlight assembly as expensive and frankly effective as ours to install DRLs. They have motorized leveling that responds to the knob on the dash, and modifications will stand a good chance of allowing water ingress and other problems. Also 13-15 LX does not have HID in the high beam location, they have a traditional halogen bulb behind a projector lens.

I put philips 9011 HIR bulbs into the high beam locations of my 13 LC and have absolutely no complaints about brightness. It will illuminate road signs to the point that I have to kill the highs to avoiding blinding myself for the darker road once it passes. They are seriously bright and drop right in after trimming a tiny tab on the bulb. Plus the reflector is designed for this light source location so the beam is exactly where it should be in the pattern intended by toyota.

You bring up a number of valid points that further reduce my interest in cutting a hole for a projector - HID or Halogen bulb.

I wouldn't since you are a 2015, but if you where older like me (2008) I would say go for it.

I’ve tried 9011 philips bulb in a projector housing but not happy with the color temperature. Has anyone tried this morimoto led in high beam projector housing? I’m looking for white light to match OEM low beams in my 13LX.

Anyone? Would like to take advantage of the 15% off Labor Day discount going on now.

I had IPF LEDs in the high beam location and found the light had a ton of glare in rain and mist. Major reason I went back to the 9011s.

I’m personally more concerned with functionality than appearance though. Plus I have yellow fogs..

Wow those look good. Did you buy those or take to task of cutting, painting, etc. would love to hear more.

To be honest, I actually didn't order these. When I purchased my 200 series, the previous owner had already placed the order, but they hadn't come in yet. They were part of the deal, so the company ended up shipping them straight to me. Originally I planned on selling them, but when they came in and I saw them I decided I needed replace my old ones. I had a minor issue with the wiring because the harness came with an H4 headlight plug, but that wasn't a big deal once I figured out how they had everything routed in the harness. I know they weren't cheap because the company did use new OEM housings (they were actually shipped to me in the OEM boxes after modified), but they do look very good. They did post a video about these headlights on their instagram which is listed below. I have no affiliation with the company.

I ordered the kit below (plus the DRL driver) and I am very happy with them. They are plug and play for the 2015. I’m in Houston and happy to help with the install, although it’s very easy.

Here are some pics, sorry for the bad quality.
