I was wondering if anyone has a wiring diagram, particularly for the console of a 60 series fridge freezer. There is a circuit board on the bottom that I had a diode replaced on but am still having problems with. I have checked with Mot and he doesnt have any info. The console came out of australia. I have searched all over this forum but all the fridge/ freezer console threads are for the 80 series. I have attached a pic of the console and one of the circuit board. Thank you in advance.

FWIW i know the US had a similar system in the toyota Vans of the 1980s so I will be sourcing parts from these too.

Sorry, I have nothing technical to add here. But when you get that thing running right, do us all a favor and post some pics of it with something cold in there. Very nice.

That will be awsome once you get it working always thought that would be a cool upgrade (get it...cool )- Good luck

Thanks guys. I will post some pics of some cold ones when shes up and chillin. I really need some wiring diagrams if anyone has any. Thanks!

How many wires are running to it??

There are more than two I assume?

Yes there are 4 or 5..I dont have it in front of me at the moment. I am most interested in seeing what the circuit board controls. The wires going to it I can figure out. the motor on the unit is just for the fan and there is a 3 way switch(middle off, right on, left on) which I am only assuming is off, fridge, freezer? Thats taking from how the 80 series iceboxes work. I could bypass the board but what the h*&% does it control. The short is coming from the board as the motor powers up but I cant get anything after the board. When I had the lines charged with freon the unit got cold inside just from the freon passing through them but I couldnt turn on the fan and I know it does more:)...

I think I have a diagram for it I will check when I get home.

my guess'es are that the wires are:

-signal to console amplifier that A/C compressor is on
-an override to run compressor if A/C is off?? possible, but more than likely A/C must be operating.
-switched 12v supply
-thermister temp input which likely comes from the SPDT switch in console to change resistances between "X ohms" - "OFF" -"Y ohms" there by controlling freeze/on-off/refrigerant positions.
-freon solenoid activation trigger. routes freon through console IF switch is in refrige or freeze position.
-Ground?

Iam still digging throgh my stuff I will continue looking today. I think I remember a 5 wire hook up.

I was told its from a 62 series sahara LC. The circuit board has Denso on it and it has a part number that doesnt match up with any toyota part numbers. I will have to get the number for you later as the board is at an electronics place having the relay retested. I just want to find out exactly what the board controls as the console gets cold when the a/c is on but the switch doesnt light up or turn the fan on. Thank you for your response! I will post the part number tomorrow.

An aussie or ME spec manuel would be great to look in but I dont think this is a standard issue. I have a non US manual and its not listed, only the rear a/c is listed. Most people I have talked to havent heard of a 60 series firdge /freezer....also, isnt HELO spelled HELLO?....

Thanks again!!!!!!!!!
