Considering different size tires...

snow and ice, they are not so good. On dry road and gravel they are good, I haven't had them long enough to try anything else. I would imagine they would do great off road, rock and mud. I will be looking to get a less aggressive tire for my needs.

That’s very surprising to hear. Should I be concerned about their performance on snow and ice. I live in the northeast so I can expect to have nasty winters.

We are talking about the ROADONE Calvary MT's? To be fair and honest, I have only driven them 1 time in the snow and ice so far but, I guess I wasn't really impressed. Obviously there are much better tires suited for such conditions.

i am trying to do as much research as possible in regards to geolanar g015's vs bfg ko2's. and right when i think the geolandar is the best option for me, i read some crap that dumps on them and then I am back to ground zero!! frustrating as hell.

To add to this - I recently went form 285/75 R16 to 275/70 R18 and I love the new tires much more. Turning radius is sharper (shorter) with the 275s.

What tire did you go with?

I really like them so far. Of course in ice stopping isn’t the best but hard pack snow they are great. They have marginal noise but look badass.

I've decided on the KO2's. Typically do people buy 5 tires, so that their full size spare matches whats currently on the truck?

I received and installed the ko2s. Went to three different tire shops. First one couldn’t get the tires on the rim. Second one seemed like they couldn’t (or didn’t want to) get the balancing right. The third one installed and balanced the tires on a computer. So it was a long day of running around. They couldn’t fit the full size spare back on the bottom so it’s currently in my trunk with the third row up. They are 275/70/18. I love the look and feel on the road. Drives amazingly. No hum, no vibration, feels a bit more sturdy.

WIll the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W 275/65R18 - fit my 06 LC base? For some reason Discount Tire wheel calcualator says it wont fit.

275/70r18. Handling is like stock, very slight tread noise at interstate speeds. Avg 14.5 mpg @ 75 mph on recent trip to beach with a cartop carrier and 8 people in car. Around town I avg 12.5mpg

275/70r18 Ko2s here. no regrets whatsoever.

just make sure you buy 5 of them

I've had the KO2s in 275/70/18 for about 5 years and I'm about due for some new ones, (they still have 10,11/32, but are not performing as well off road now). I'm not sure if I'll get them again, but never hesitate to recommend them, with the caveat that they are a compromise tire. They easily fit stock or modified, they are a good deal bigger than stock, but you will still have "tire envy" if you ever spend any time with people on 34s and 35s. They are adequate in snow provided you drive within their capabilities, but far from a snow tire. They are good in sand when aired down, adequate on rocks, when aired down, pretty s***ty in most mud (AT tire!) and have very good road manners (for an AT, nothing like an LTX). There are tires that perform better in every area, but for everything you gain, you lose something else (MTs are superior off road, but bad in snow, and louder, for ex). YMMV (literally) so all that matters is that they meet your needs.
