Tne cruiser in Knox is out for me. I tried to ask the guy a few questions about it and he wouldn't have it. Asked about rust after buying the report since it showed it was a PA vehicle and he just replied to come and look. Not the answer I want to hear when I'm driving an hour each way. The other guy from AL never showed up btw

Good luck UJZ100NGA if you decide to pick it up.

I do have the CarFax for anyone who wants it.

Sorry to hear that. When we were looking last year, we went to see an LX two hour one way - traveling with a 4 yr old. I don't remember the detail but the car has a lot more problem than was disclosed by the seller. At least in this case you have not make the trip.

so, avoided major catastrophe today. after leaving walmart this morning my wife saw two xk commanders at a well known dealership, so we stop to look at them, one has 230k miles, that one got ruled out. the other had 130k, okay lets find out the price, $6900, wow thats a deal. we test drive it, get the carfax, no wrecks, 1- owner, and georgia truck all its life, sounds good. we drive it about 45 minutes to our mechanic in town, he looks it over. says, it looks good no problems at all, sounds great lets go get the money. so, I'm waiting at the credit union , doing the paper work and i get a text from my wife reading, "we are not getting this car." i call her and she informs me on the way home it starts over heating, message pops up, low on oil and transmission over heating. so i tell the loan guy not to worry about it, we laugh, call the dealership and they come pick it up on roll back. so I'm probably going to just buy this liberty that my wife is in right now, and look for a nicer 80-series or high mileage 100- series for myself to tool around in and drive daily. ill still have the LJ, :flipoff2:

I doubt the XK would go into low range any how. Same reason I sold my mint Hemi WK and traded up to the 100.

Did you end up looking at the green 99? I certainly wouldn't have passed up looking at it just because the seller didn't answer a few inquiries.

I understand the frustration. Persistence is how I managed to pick up mine. The seller was terrible at communication, but when he finally committed to a meet I was all over it even though very few of my questions were answered.

Same reason I sold my diesel WK after 2 years of arguing with DC/Fiat/Dealerships....

Had bad communication with my seller as well but I stayed with it; take the emotion out and just stay on it. If you feel like it's the one then don't give up.
