Hi All, I'm sorry to miss the opportunity to meet you in the new year, shorting after joining my 1997 80-series developed a rough idle that turned out to a piston with no compression. The engine is out of the truck and being rebuilt, most of the parts are coming from partsouq.com out of Dubai. I have question concerning Crank shaft and connecting rod bearings. My engine builder ( Santa Fe Auto Machine in Santa Fe) mentioned that one pair of the crank shaft bearings are marked with "1" and the remaining 6 pairs are marked with "2". Similarly he requested me to buy a new set (6 pairs) of # "2" connecting rod bearings. I have seen whole sets of the 14 piece crank shaft bearings (Part 1170466031) and connecting rod bearings (Part 1320466031) but not found any Toyota part numbers for the # 1 or 2 bearings for each part. I imagine the numbers matter and may refer to a bearing thickness but I don't know where to get the specific numbers and American Toyota was much help in this regard, any thoughts? I'm trying to keep it all Toyota when possible. Thanks for any guidance.

sorry to hear about the issues jT. I'm going to ping the experts here @OGBeno @cruiserdan

In the meantime, here's what i found in the FSM:

Thanks Alia!

The bearing set numbers you see (11704 and 13204) are under-size for machined crankshafts. Standard bearings are "select fit", sold individually, and are tailored to individual journals.

Thank you Dan and Alia, I got the parts on order!
