Hey Micheal, Get a hold of Jeeper ron, he is looking to get together with you and see if your going to be able to go on this run, Do you have a passenger? Contact jeeper Ron, I'm having to drop out of this run and a few more fro the next 3 months, i fell off a ladder at work and broke my left leg, three months of no wheeling of any kind or driving or even walking, crutch's only or maybe a wheelchair, Gunner

sorry to hear about your mishap Big Jim...

Ever heard of fall protection?? (sorry, could not resist)

I'm going to decline attending also, stay focused on the Hammers in a couple weeks.

Be Safe!

well Gary to answer your question my gas additive did help, but it seems as if the rebuilt carb is not functioning correctly. I have reset the float back to operating specifications and ran the idle mixture screw all the way in, but the carb is still letting way to much gas by. I am beginning to think that the jets may be too large, I may have to put the HOLLEY rebuilt on.

As for Jeeper Ron I do not have a passenger, but it does not look as if I will be going at all. If he can persuade me I might change my mind. He has until Thur Oct-5th at 4:30 pm to chnge my mind and me to still make it. Let me know

Oh ya Bummer Days for Jim, I know those damn ladders are tricky to master.

Regards

Michael

OK Michael,

How can I persuade you. Right now it looks like it is just me and Gary (Bender) going. Would a dutch oven apple pie be enough?
Call me on my cell 415-350-8835.

Have you ever been on Fordyce? that should be reason enough :)
Jeeper Ron

Well no Ron an apple pie is not going to do it, well it might have, if I did not strip my carb off the cruiser already so I can work on it this weekend. So at this point I will have to say this weekend is not possible for me, and you are correct I have never been on this trail, but I can not see going if my rig is not working propperly. It would create an unfair situation for all the good working rigs, and I hait to make you guys wait while my cruiser starts acting up. Another day, another time, I WILL MAKE THIS TRAIL EVENTUALLY.

Regards

Michael:frown: :frown: :frown:

Dont plan on seeing me there, Fordyce is definately on my list of trails to do but not this weekend. Unfortunately the ability to pay my mortgage (and keep food on the table) is slightly higher in priority.

been following this thread

...and am really bummed to hear about your leg, Gunner.
At some point this is a trail I would like to see, tho my FJ40 needs some more mods before I'd feel comfortable tackling it.
I just came home from Reno on Hwy 80 yesterday morning and it was raining, so expect rain or snow as a possibility for those still going.

When Wheeling I'm a Good Wheeler, When at work I guess i took my mind off work for a half second at Bam 15' to the Ground and Snap!! goes the left Leg, The Ladder was a Safety Ladder with a Cage around It, Lucky for Me or maybe i wouldn't be here giving it back to you guys, Thanks for the Replys, i can take all the Jokes, I have a few co_workers here at the Prison, I already have a 4 SALE sign on the Cruiser, a Handicapped Sign on the Windshield, and a New Handicapped Parking only tagged to my Garage Door, Jeeper ron left his Camera off at the House, I Had the nurse take a couple of Pictures of the Hole in my Leg and the Frankinstien Stitches up the inside of my leg, this is going to sound Ugly, 2 RODS, 8 PINS, 2 ADJUSTABLE SCREWS w NUTS holding my leg together, spare parts for the trail? Gunner

Thankx for the complement John, It takes a lot to break me down, This time work did me In, Hope to see you all at the October Meeting.
Jim
