They say parting is sweet sorrow and it's true. It's time for someone else to take over my '94 FZJ80 "Mean Green". It leaks enough oil that long trips are a pain. I have been looking for an HDJ to swap in but am getting a bit too old for that kind of work.
Would be a good low-cost base for a build, either simply replacing the seal, rebuilding the original motor or a heart transplant with a diesel. (I always wanted to make a "rattle wagon" out of it but didn’t find the right motor before I became unwilling to do the work.)
The truck is green, mostly rust free, with typical oxidation on the exterior and a surface rust patch on the hood. I've owned it for 25+ and over 200K miles, almost all in Colorado where it's dry and it has no accidents in the last 25 years.
The truck starts, runs and drives just fine with the usual LC quirks. The tires are good, brakes are good. The interior is quite serviceable and not torn up. I think the cloth upholstery might still look new after I'm dead and gone. The interior color is Oak.
Condition Items:
