Just to chime in on resale...I realize not apples to apples, but I had a medium red 80 series, similar in color to the salsa red. Sold it in 2017 for close to what I bought it for in 2009 and it sold in less than 24 hours (so i probably didn't ask enough for it). As others have said, I wouldn't worry about color for resale just get what you like. Corrosion seems to be the biggest driver of value.

I'm partial to the dark reds for my cars generally, adds a little bit of "flavor" without being overly bold. I went with salsa red on my 2014 and love the color.

Looked at it in person today. Has a deposit on it. Is pretty clean but the paint has more car wash swirls than I like. And it’s a smokers car and was pretty strong. That’s a deal breaker for me. Red looks good though. I’ve changed my mind.

Got the color I wanted this time. My 2011 LX570 was Red which was not my favorite color.

As others have said, don't worry about the resale of the color, just buy what you like. I doubt the factory color will have a significant impact on resale in the future. If you look at KBB values the color adjustments are typically a few hundred $ difference max. Now if you decide to repaint it pink or something you're on your own.

Wish I could have found mine in red, but the tan/gold has grown quite a bit on me.

That really does hide dirt well! It's there, but doesn't stand out...
