Color opinion on a 200

As others have said, don't worry about the resale of the color, just buy what you like. I doubt the factory color will have a significant impact on resale in the future. If you look at KBB values the color adjustments are typically a few hundred $ difference max. Now if you decide to repaint it pink or something you're on your own.

Wish I could have found mine in red, but the tan/gold has grown quite a bit on me.

-I've never seen a fully built LC that didn't look pretty sweet. The color sort of becomes a sideline to the mods rather than the main visual. Even though I might not pick Salsa red by itself, I think Kevin & Mark's fully built trucks in Salsa look amazing. The dark armor really sets the colors off and makes them pop. Gold...Red...Blue...Silver...whatever. Really makes a sweet color combo even on colors I wouldn't have chosen.

I know 13-14 Amazons have black interior option. Not sure on 15.

If you find a 13-14 Amazon with TAN interior, now that's a rare bird. I've only seen one pop up in a year of searching and it was a rust bucket.

I was being a bit hyperbolic on "not existing" :) but yeah, that's an awesome rig. Super rare. Someone needs to snag that asap.
well S**T I really thought they didn't exist and I found some kinda rare bird up here in the PNW:)

So many people are worried about what other people think...it’s not like you’re cruising to pick up chicks in a LC unless you’re in the backwoods:hillbilly:. Lol! Get what you like and who cares what anyone else thinks unless they are going to foot the bill.

P.S get the Salsa red because I like it and so do most.:steer:

I think it depends on how spicy you make it : )

They look sweet built up.

A guy in my neighborhood has a forrest green 200! It’s the coolest.

Thanks for the opinions. MUD always straightens me out. Asking a bunch of guys that have red 200s what they think of red is like asking a guy with a white 60 what he thinks about the color of his white 60. Change the wheels and tires and it’s a whole different vehicle. And yes, any color Land Cruiser in the garage is the right color.

Yep that pic is from a dealer in MO. Happens to be in the town i live, and I pass the dealer everyday. And also as luck would have it, one of the owners is a customer if mine.

I’ve been leaning on silver because of the way it doesn’t show dirt as bad and seems to be a timeless color. I’ve got an 07 silver tundra and it hides stuff pretty well. Definitely not black. I live on a gravel road. White looks good but there are a lot of black and white out there. I see the error in my thinking... the red grows on you fast when you realize how few there are.

Other question would be color of interior. I was thinking the darker charcoal would be easier to keep clean over the long haul. Have you guys found which interior wears better over time, the lighter or darker?

I had a silver 100, and it was awesome with dust...paint lasted well beyond when I sold it at 16 years old.
Also...it was MUCH cooler to the touch than my dark grey 200.

Interior: I had tan in my 100, but it was more normal leather on the 100 than these rubbery 200 seats & definitely showed goofs and scuff more than my current grey interior rig.
The grey seats in my 200 look AMAZING considering they are 9 years old, and my huge body tromps in and out of it on a daily basis. I think grey is a nice middle ground between the near-black and tan interiors. Super happy with it. If I ever considered another color, it would be back to silver, though I LOVE my dark grey.

About seats heating up. Adding tinted windows has literally done away with sun-baked, scorching-hot seats in my rig. Really an amazing difference. Also helps protect interior surfaces from sun damage. Important, because I can't garage mine (too tall) and it bakes in the sun big time.

I prefer the black leather as it gives it a slightly dresser look with the whitish accent stitching. Put seat covers on whenever you’re going to get dirty and the leather will hold up for years without showing much wear.

I never would have picked gold but fell in love with it after I got it.

Probably hides dirt / dust better than any other color?

Yep it's easily a 20/20 color (looks great at 20' or passing by at 20 mph). Dust and road salt hardly show

IMO there's no good color to keep clean.

Mine is tan, and I find it's pretty easy to keep clean, save for the carpet. Even with rubber floor mats the snow, slush, and dirty rain water make a mess in spots.

My last vehicle was black, and even with the rubber floor mats it looked gray-ish in the winter when salt/slush would get on the carpet and dry. I preferred a tan interior when I was looking because sitting on black leather in a car that's been baking in the sun sucks when wearing shorts. Also our dog was tan, and tan dog fur on a Shepherd/Chow mix ends up everywhere in the vehicle.

About the only thing that really bugs me is the carpet on the lower trunk door is tan so it easily gets dirty and shows. Wish I could find aftermarket panels that were ABS plastic instead of carpeted. That's one place where black would be helpful. Stupid design.
