Many land cruiser fans are also fans of the Patrols. I personally have really enjoyed getting to learn about them and drive them. We just completed our 2nd classic Nissan Patrol which was an amazing 1977 LG-60 medium wheelbase (competitor to the FJ43). Truck was one owner and 68,000 miles and even had original 1977 green canvas top. Given it's condition and the work we put into it we sold it to a collector for over $30,000. Truck just shipped out this week.

Our first truck was a 1977 LG-60 that we sold via Hemmings. Truck was picked by Hemmings staff as a favorite. That truck we put power steering and brake booster and other upgrades into. Again it sold over $30,000.

However, I really want to offer high quality Patrols in more affordable price ranges. We just sold via contract this 1967 short wheelbase Patrol for $19,000. We can replicate this one either in soft top or stay in the low $20,000 range for a medium wheelbase LG-60 but keep the fiberglass hardtop.

The soft tops are expensive and cost time to install but we can do them as an option.

Here is the white 67 Patrol we just contracted for $19,000 delivery Tampa, Florida.

This truck gets light overhaul, new tires etc.

Check out our 1977 red Patrol. 68,000 miles. One owner. Green canvas top is from 1977 as new. We had to fabricate the top bars and we did a new tan top for the client. 5 new tires.

Some minimal paint work. Truck was 80% original paint and 100% original interior. Just an amazing find.

Our blue 1979 LG-60. I terribly miss this truck. Amazing color. It had a 5 year old restoration and then we spent 60 days on it overhauling it. Was owned by an airline pilot and car enthusiast. I had put power steering on it which made it drive great but going forward I think I would just do 7.0 x 16 military tires like we are doing on the manual Toyota trucks. I really like the way they drive without the power steering.

1981 FJ43 in red versus 1979 LG-60 in blue!

Here is an example of an earlier LG-60 medium wheelbase that I passed up on last year. We can do these for low $20,000 now. I would pull off the hard top and check for rust then put it back on. Keep the manual steering but put new 6.50 to 7.0 x 16 tires on it. I can add the brake booster affordably. I need to drive one without to decide. These are 4 drum trucks. We will overhaul all the brakes. These trucks come with the powerful and smooth 4.0 liter Nissan six and 3 speed unsynchronized manual. Tough to shift but you learn fast. They are geared 4.10 and like 50 to 55 mph max. We only choose rust free trucks from the mountains. The Patrols seem to rust a bit less than the Toyotas but still have to choose carefully. The front benches are tight if you are over 6 feet tall.

I hate that I passed over this truck last year!

Parts for Nissans? Several suppliers in the US have parts for the motor as they are forklift motors. The body panels we don't worry about because we are doing rust free higher quality trucks. All the accessories etc best to order from suppliers out of Australia online. The biggest concerns we try to avoid by going through the truck. Overhaul the brakes and check the hubs and axles, transmission and transfer case. Check tail lights etc. The manual 4x4 hubs can be aftermarket. I had zero issues with my blue 79 Patrol. However recently my 82 FJ43 needed a new carb and a bunch of small items and had to order and wait for a bunch of Toyota parts. If it had been a Nissan yes it would have been more of a pain!

Essentially the Nissan gives you a 30% less expensive truck vs a Toyota but on the upside even more rare and unique. No support via forums etc either like the Toyotas either reason I am posting on a classic Toyota forum!

They are however super cool trucks.

Very nice rigs!

We can always assist in shipping larger/heavier items for these vehicles out of Australia to either our WA state or NC warehouses.

Cheers!

Thanks. Yes the Colombians and Australians have a lot of love for the Patrols. I hope to do more of them. The US reaction to them is fantastic. They just don't know what they are.

All I can figure is overhaul them the best I can to minimize any future issues.

I just put a 1967 short wheel base soft top one under contract for export.

Here is another one we just reviewed. 1977 LG60 orange. A little less original truck but looks very straight.

Try to be low $20,000 on it. This is a medium wheelbase one. Has a cool look I think. Need a light overhaul and not a fan of the black on the hood. or grill. Looks tough with 32 inch tires.

This orange LG60 would likely be the ONLY one in the entire US if you are someone interested in having something rare/odd.
