EDIT: turns out I was a bit hasty. Dealing with individual Colombian sellers is proving to be a challenge and prices aren’t as great as advertised for OEM Toyota parts.

I’m sorry to get many of your hopes up.

BUT…

I still have this container to fill. The fabricators I’m working with to rebuild my 43 (and yes basically rebuild the entire thing, *sigh*) make some sweet kit. Anyone looking for 40, 43, or 45 body panels hit me up. Below is the tub I am getting.

Howdy,

I’m in the holy land of Toyota parts for 3 weeks doing an FJ43 build (Bogota). I’m surrounded by a lot of late-model 40 and 70 series parts. Looking to fund part of my build. Does anyone need anything shipped back? Let’s talk.

Lots of OEM power steering parts for 40 series and of course 70 series anything.

DM me if you’re looking for something specific and I can try to find it.

Have a great trip. Cartagena is a lovely city. Not my favorite in Colombia by a long shot, but still a good one.

Would be interested in everything needed for a 72 fj40 power steering if in great shape.

Whoops! In Bogota. Visiting Cartagena at the moment. Too hot in my opinion haha. I assume you're looking for the OEM 40 ps, not a later box from a 60 or 70?I'll take a look around and hit you back.

Thanks for posting this!

First on the list for all of 43 owners with MPR hard tops would be the corner windows.

List:
1. Curved corner windows for MPR hard top
2. Window seals/gaskets for the corner windows and the rear door window. (Non ambulance)

Thanks and I wish you luck

You’re on Devo. I’ll reach back out in the next few days. Can you send me a pic of your hardtop? Is the rear door a solid piece or split top and bottom like pre 75 trucks?

i knew a lot of imports in Florida came from Columbia but this is the first I heard of it referred to as holy land. I imagine you would make out like a bandit if you brought back every ps gear box you got your hands on. What about AC components? Is this a connex your shipping

Holy land for me only because parts are more plentiful and 43s abound haha. I’m seriously considering it. They’re just heavy as all get out so shipping is a PITA. I’ve been looking for AC stuff for my own build. So far, weirdly, no luck. By connex do you just mean a container? I’ll likely be doing DHL, which might be cost prohibitive. TBD

Not sure if Columbia got a H55F in the 60 series 10/82-11/84? Two different shift canes were used during this time. 10/82-4/84 and 4/84-11/84. Would be interested in a transmission shift cane from either date. Not as high on the list would be a LHD H55F shift can front the 70 series. Don't believe the 40 series had a H55F in South America.

Roger that. I will ask around

Here ya go @youngmanchego . Thanks for taking this action. I appreciate your time and efforts.

This is a 1981 and the MPR cap separates from the tub. The back door swings open as one piece. Let me know of any particular information that I can provide…

A beautiful rig! Thank you for the photos. I’ll do some asking around. I’ve seen several of these tops already. You want glass I assume, not plexi?

Add me to the list that would love to get some corner windows for the MPR top!

Here is the size of the windows. They are larger than a 40s. The MPR top is also fiberglass, I would be interested if any 43 tops are all steel like the 40.

Thanks!

Howdy- no luck on the canes. The parts guy just looked at me and laughed. I’m sorry :/

You're a good man! While I'm too broke to order parts today, I appreciate your efforts! I someday hope to visit the holy land of Landcruisers.

Cheers 🍻
