Collapsible Combo Tent Cot

I could get into this. I've camped with guys that had the regular Tent Cot, it looked very easy to use and fast to set/take down. The only thing I didn't like was the packed size. It looks like they have addressed that issue with this model.

Kamp-Rite is a great company.

If your ever in Sacramento it is worth the time to stop by their warehouse & check out several different models.

Last year on my way to Marlin Crawler Round up #8. I stopped by & met the owner, great guy. I offered to buy the oversized tent cot at the regular price if he would be willing to sell me one for cost so I could donate to Marlins raffle. He did better than that he sold me one at cost & threw one in for the raffle for free.

I love mine.

Hi All:

I have a buddy that uses a tent-cot on 'wheeling trips. While it does keep you off the ground, and is quick to set-up, it is very expensive and bulky in comparison to the typical 3 person dome tent.

My US$00.02

Regards,

Alan

you know what freaks me out about those, tempting as it may be to get one, is the idea of being in there and then a bear comes around poking. For some reason, it sounds worse than a regular tent...
then again, I don't relish the idea of a regular sleeping bag on the ground or a cot for the same reason...

I wonder if these army sleeping bags have a quick opening system...

That is what I like about this one it folds up to 6" H x 6" W x 42" H ,
$159 isn't much more than the back packing tent I have now cost by itself.
Follow the link and read about it.

I remember when I was snooping around doing research related to buying a RTT I came across these, or a version of these, that someone was selling in excess of $1000 each. Does anyone else remember that and who/where it was?

might be better where there is snakes and scorpions or spiders, this should be a good find for the aussies.

although if your in bear country its nice to have a dog or two, and other forms of bear detection ;)
