My Cruiser always feels faster after I go through the car wash.

Slips through the air more better...

k&n filters change the intake noise --it makes any engine sound more raw/powerful. The filtration is worse, it's hard on the MAF, the HP gains are not there. The 100 comes with a CAI stock from the factory.

What did you do with the OEM air box and stuff? Shot me PM if you still have it.

Taylor you did for sound right?

I ran a K&N in my stock airbox in my normally aspirated GTI and we picked up about 4 HP across the board. But I have never seen any dyno result in the 2uz where it made a positive difference in a stock motor.

I did it to accomodate for the larger wheels and tires. People can say from their experiences or hat they assume but if you could drive my truck when it was stock and then after the k&n you would understand. It runs like a completely new truck. Better than when I first started modding it. It's an amazing difference

and the sound is nice

i run the same set up in my 100. The sound is fun and i agree it felt a little more spry when i put it in.

However, it could be me smashing the gas more to hear the sound too..

I'm about to put a snorkel in so i guess it's about to be a moot point now.

its possible that reducing the restriction (open filter and straight pipe) increases throttle response, but not power. just speculating.

edit: i felt like my tacoma responded better to throttle when i modified the intake.

You would have been much better off putting that money towards gears. All you've done is allow more dirt to get into your engine. But hey, it sounds cool and you're happy with it so that's all that matters.
